Background
The Tuvalu Fisheries Authority (TFA), through the TFSP3 Project, invites quotations from eligible and reputable suppliers for the supply of one (1) new single cab diesel pick-up truck. The vehicle will support official operational activities and must meet the specifications outlined below.
Scope of Supply
The successful supplier will be required to provide:
- One (1) brand new single cab pick-up truck
- Diesel engine (1.9–2.4 litre capacity)
- Full compliance with the technical specifications
- Delivery in drive-away condition (fully assembled, fueled, and operational)
- Service parts sufficient for one year of operation
Technical Specifications (Minimum Requirements)
Vehicle Type:
- Single cab pick-up truck
- Right-hand drive
Engine & Performance:
- Diesel engine (1.9–2.4 litres)
- 4-cylinder
- Manual transmission
- Power steering
Fuel & Efficiency:
- Diesel fuel system
- Fuel consumption better than 9L/100km
Chassis & Body:
- Steel cargo deck or aluminium tray
- Minimum payload capacity: 900 kg
- Heavy-duty suspension suitable for local road conditions
Safety Features:
- Seatbelts
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
- Driver airbag (minimum)
Interior & Comfort:
- Vinyl or fabric seats
- Air conditioning
- Factory-fitted radio/audio system
Electrical & Accessories:
- 12V electrical system with heavy-duty battery
- Spare tyre, jack, and basic toolkit
- Service parts (filters, etc.) for one year
- Mud flaps, rubber floor mats, and tow bar
Condition:
- Brand new and unused
- Current 2026 production model (not discontinued)
Markings:
- Vehicle doors will be branded with TFSP3 Project name and logos
Delivery Requirements
- Delivery within six (6) weeks from contract signing
- Vehicle must be delivered fully operational (drive-away condition)
- Provision of all manuals and at least two (2) sets of keys
Pricing
All quotations must:
- Be submitted in Australian Dollars (AUD)
- Include the unit price of the vehicle
- Include delivery costs to Funafuti
- Clearly indicate any optional features (priced separately)
Note: The vehicle is being supplied to a Government entity and is exempt from import duty in Tuvalu.
